APC Effurun-Otor Gets New Chairman As Aphia Pledges Loyalty, Grassroots Mobilisation.

The newly elected Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Effurun-Otor Ward, Olorogun Prof. Joseph Efemena Aphia has assured party faithful that he will not betray the confidence reposed in him following his emergence at the just-concluded ward congress.
Prof. Aphia, who is also the immediate past President of the National Association of Urhobo Professional Orators and holds the traditional titles of Orovwiroro of Olomu Kingdom and Osu-Vudidi of Ewu Kingdom, made the pledge while addressing party members shortly after his victory.
The renowned Urhobo professional orator said his leadership would be anchored on unity, inclusiveness, and strategic collaboration, stressing that he would work in synergy with members of his executive and party leaders to reposition the party for future electoral success.
He specifically noted that his priority would be strengthening grassroots mobilisation and ensuring that the APC records a decisive victory in the 2027 general elections within the ward.
According to him, “I deeply appreciate the trust and support given to me by leaders and stakeholders. I assure everyone that I will not betray this confidence. Together, we will build a stronger and more united APC in Effurun-Otor.”
Prof. Aphia expressed profound gratitude to several party leaders and stakeholders for their pivotal roles in his emergence. Among those he thanked were Olorogun J. U. Oguma, Olorogun Senator E. E. Aguariavwodo, Olorogun Dr. Ebenizer Okorodudu, Olorogun Dr. Richard Kofi, Olorogun Matthew Oguma, Hon. Prince Stephen Ovedje, Hon. Mathew Ogboru, Hon. Chief Sylvester Uzo, Hon. Dr. Ricardo Oguma, Samuel Abido, Olorogun Barr. J. Duku, Hon. Onojeharho, and others.
Political observers in the area believe his emergence will further consolidate the party’s grassroots base, deepen internal cohesion, and enhance strategic coordination ahead of future political engagements.
